The Botanical Garden of Ooty is a popular tourist destination with an area of 50 acres at the lower slopes of the Dodabetta Peak. As the name suggests, it is a storage of a rich variety of trees and plants. Bird lovers love to go there as it is home to several native and migratory birds. Here it is important to mention that Dodabetta Peak is the highest point in Ooty and offers a superb view from the top.

The Ooty Lake is a serene creation that dates back to 1825 and is a must see in an Ooty tour. An artificial lake, it was originally built to facilitate irrigation. But now one can enjoy boating and fishing here on a holiday.
The Kalhatty falls, otherwise known as Kalahasti falls is a awesome location situated at about 13 kms from Ooty. Here the down rush of water is from a height of 122 m.

Travelling to Ooty during this fiesta gives tea connoisseurs a treat to remember.
